The Dan family mask has no eye holes or holes for attachments.  The mask has a high forehead, slanted eyes, flat nose and upturned mouth. They served as "family masks," or "house masks," kept by individual families as protective devices for the household.  These masks were not meant to be performed, only kept inside the house and not seen by people outside the family.
