The Widekum produced figural headdresses covered by antelope hide, dyed black with a basketry base that attached to the dancer’s head.  These stylized figures have articulated limbs that are attached to the torso by pegs.  The skeletal head has an open mouth baring metal teeth, raised keloid at the temples and human hair.  These headdresses were worn at dances of their secret, regulatory society.
