The Dan Zakpai mask are known for fire prevention, worn by the fastest runner in the village selected to ensure that cooking fires are extinguished. The wooden mask is decorated with burlap bundles, cowrie shells, animal hair, reptile skin, metal teeth and remnants of red cloth, all in fine condition.
