Ethiopian painted panels of religious icons related to Byzantine Christian art dating back to the 4th century. This painted panel depicts the Holy Trinity with images of three identical bearded men with halos. There are four heavenly creatures in the corners and an inscription in the language of Geez saying “Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
