The Yaka janus fetish figure was used by ritual specialist to protect property, in the treatment of illness, to assist in hunting and the protection of individuals against enemies and witchcraft.‍ ‍The wooden figures have heavy lidded eyes, linear nose and small ears. The bodies are covered with highly encrusted hide and bundles of fetish materials
