This rare and finely carved Lega bone figure was owned by a high ranking member of the Bwami secret society. Bone figures were status symbols that were used for teaching morals during initiation ceremonies. The figure has a heart shaped face, coffee-bean eyes, linear nose, small mouth supported by a cylindrical torso with ringed base.
