This rare, Senufo horseman is thought to portray secular authority, a warrior hero, noble hunter or ruler, expressing tribal belief and ideology. The mounted rider has elegant lines and carved with exceptional style. The rider’s head is elongated, his hands hold the reins of the smaller horse.
