Neck rests are primarily utilitarian objects used as pillows on which to sleep, rest and to preserve intricate hairstyles.  The Karamojong are a nomadic tribe of cattle herders.  The neck rest has a rich patina and unique form with two flared legs and arched support with a rawhide brace that acts as a carrying strap.
