Pre-Bembe hunters used miniature charms to counteract witchcraft and misfortune.  Attributed to the Boyo/Basikasongo who left a legacy of art in the form of ancestor effigies.  This fetish is janus faced with downcast coffee-bean eyes and encircled at the neck by a raffia skirt.
