Skin covered masks with spiral horns are thought to represent a guardian spirit in the form of a crocodile.  A woven basket is attached to the headdress and the dancer wears it on top of his head with face and body covered by a fabric gown.  These masks were observed by a British officer in 1909 and are associated with a anti-witchcraft association.
