The Kotoko inherited the skill of casting figures in bronze and brass from the Sao in the 5th century. The 3 Kotoko bronze horsemen are depicted with armor, helmets and lances.   The horses are embellished with trappings of harness and bridle. These stylized talisman were found in funerary offerings.
