Presented is a rare, Igbo Okoroshi mask representing a water spirit that was danced during the agricultural rainy season, blessing yam crops. The mask is highly naturalistic, rendered with white and black pigmentation with raised forehead, open mouth baring teeth and accented with black keloid decoration.
