Our Ekoi mask was worn atop the dancer’s head at Ika celebrations and rituals such as initiations and funerals. The cap mask is carved of wood covered with antelope skin, elaborate horns, white pigment eyes, open mouth with filed teeth, scarification and a wicker collar attached at the base.
